Animal Breeder Events

I've added three animal breeder events to the All Talent calendar: the Westminster Dog Show, the Scottsdale All Arabian Horse Show, and the 3rd Annual Arabian Breeders Cup.

If you know of anyone who participates in any breeder shows, I would appreciate it if you would have them add those shows to our calendar.

All Talent Directory Event Calendar

Participating in an upcoming event? Add events, fairs, festivals and performances to the All Talent Directory Event Calendar and link them to your Talent profile. It’s FREE on the All Talent Directory!

Add links to your Talent profile from any events where you exhibit and/or perform that are already listed on the ATD Calendar. It’s FREE on the All Talent Directory!

Art events are also listed on www.artpaintingshows.com.

Event Planners

Anyone can now add events to the All Talent Event Calendar. Event listings include the event's name, its description, a venue address, phone number, website, the nearest metropolitan area, the type of event (i.e., art, music), its start and end dates, a brief schedule, cost details, and even a map link. You also have the ability to link to a photo on another website or upload your own (JPG format).

Marquee Advertisers (was called Service Listings)

Marquee advertisers have Marquee listing ads prominently displayed at the top of the event information page for all events where they are exhibiting and/or performing. Marquee ad listings are also randomly shown throughout the All Talent Directory.

Talent Profiles

Talent can link their talent profiles to events in which they are participating as an exhibitor and/or a performer. Their link appears at the bottom of the event information page.

Changes to Talent Profile Configuration

I've changed the talent profile configuration page because it was simply too complex and confusing. Hopefully you'll now find it much easier to update your profiles. We may not be there yet. Feel free to send me any suggestions on how to make it even easier (linda@alltalentdirectory.com).

I also made the decision to allow everyone to link to where their product is for sale. For example, if you are a musician and have a CD for sale on Amazon.com, simply add a photo of the album, its name and the link to wherever it's sold online.

Another added benefit is that all talent can post a downloadable pdf file. Models can use this to provide your audience with a comp card. Musicians can provide a brochure of their upcoming events.

As always, you must add at least one photo and one talent category for your profile to appear live. It helps people find you when you further define the characteristics that apply to your primary talent catgories.

Event Connection

That's our goal. To start, we just changed the All Talent Calendar to the Event Connection and are adding events right and left. Other Event Connection sites are listing these events with links to the event detail. What's more, anyone can add an event. You just have to be signed into one of the All Talent Directory site managers.

Very soon, if you are a Service Provider and participate in an event, your listing will appear as an advertisement at the top of the event detail. What's more, Talent, who sign up as participants in an event, will have links to their Talent Profile located right on the event detail.

All Talent just launched a Directory of Services by Talent and for Talent.

In this directory, you will find talent scouts, agents, schools, art shows, festivals, photographers, videographers, choreographers, wedding planners, party planners, artists, music festivals, art galleries, stylist studios, etc.

GET LISTED TODAY: The standard business listing covers search by types of event/service, logo, business name, website address, street address, phone numbers, email and an optional link to a Talent Profile. Schools and educational centers are listed for free.

All Types of Talent

The All Talent Directory covers all types of talented people, who can searched by what they really do.

For example, if you are musician, what instruments do you play? Do you play in a symphony or a band or quartet? What genre of music do you play? Do you sing, too?

In addition to the main categories of talent, the All Talent Directory has a comprehensive set of skills for each category.

The primary categories include:

New Feature: Little Flash menus appear at the top of the thumbnail result photos. Thumbnails are all randomized. You can select Women, Men, Children or All. Underneath each, you can further filter for ethnic background, height, eye color and hair color. You can also sort alphabetically by the first name, forward and backward.

I'm still having problems with the filtering results. If you refresh the page, they show up. Should show up as soon as you click on a characteristic. Am working on it.

Another feature is the ability to get results by metropolitan area.

BMA Colorado

I just got sidetracked adding a video to the BMA Colorado website. BMA is a national organization for B2B professionals comprised of members from both client and agency sides. I'm just starting my third year as the Colorado chapter's webmaster. In February, 2008, we went to the wall and introduced a brand new site. This site is absolutely wonderful and a maintainer's dream. However we have never posted a video to it. What fun.

The video on Style and Substance was created by a member companies, The Light Group and Faction Media, for last May's 2008 Gold Key Awards Banquet. It creatively portrayed the unique challenge of the Gold Key Awards to bring the marketing extremes together – the designer and the account person, the writer and the marketing director – everyone involved who has something at stake.

www.f-stopcafe.com, a terrific photography tutorial site, has just been totally revamped so that access to all tutorials is free. There are tutorials on lighting, on simple ways of taking very professional photos, sets and equipment. Check it out if you take photos whether you are a hobbyist or a pro.

I want to see Robert Morrissey, who owns the site and has written the number 1 selling book on commercial lighting for professionals, send out more photographic tips. You can sign up for the tip of the week right on the home page.

Talent Calendar

The calendar is complete. You can now add photos. Both Talent and Service Providers can post events to the All Talent Directory Calendar. And all Talent events link back to the Talent's profile.

New Online Talent Directory

Since Nov 2007, I have been building an online talent directory (http://www.alltalentdirectory.com), which has finally reached the stage where it can be promoted nationwide. The site currently lists 200 plus talent, mostly from Colorado. I would love to have anyone of talent sign up for a free listing.

This site is not just limited to actors and models. It includes artists, comedians, musicians, photographers, dancers, personalities, television, film and video people, and writers. You can link to any site where your CDs, books and artwork are for sale. You can add events where you're appearing to the site's calendar. The site even includes a physical characteristic search for models, actors and dancers.

It is wonderful way for creative and talented people to gain exposure. If you are talented, you can found by your specific talents and skills. Each free listing includes your photos, a link to your video on YouTube and a playable sound clip.

It is a wonderful way for people planning events to find talent and preview by their specific requirements.
